AISD Renovations at Williams Elementary School
Most K-12 buildings are designed and built to last, but over the years, trends change, new technology comes online, and general wear and tear occurs, creating a need for a variety of renovations and updates. Fuse brings value to these types of projects by applying their vast array of cumulative knowledge regarding both new and existing K-12 environments. These projects require creative economical solutions that can easily be incorporated while minimizing disruption to campus operations.

Highlight
This project included updating existing restrooms to be ADA compliant. The update required taking a portion of the music classroom storage closet to add on to the existing restrooms. To make up for this adjustment, we added tall cabinet storage (extra depth) in the music room for easy student access to their instruments.
Design & Construction Facts
Initial assessments were completed to identify what needed to be done throughout the campus. Through this process, scoping was finalized, and consultants were selected to align with specific project needs. Fuse also took the opportunity to help AISD prioritize which renovations needed to be addressed first, which led to the project being broken up across two summers, with the kitchen ceiling replacement project being completed first. The remaining renovation work was performed the following summer and included restroom expansions, new music room storage casework, installation of a new stage and ADA accessible platform lift, and new front entry doors.
