Saatva Office Expansion
Saatva is a privately held e-commerce company that specializes in luxury mattresses and is based in NYC with an office in Austin, TX. Saatva has grown exponentially and needed to expand their Austin office square footage. They were able to expand their office by building out a mezzanine space adding another 1,500 sf to their office.

Highlight
The Austin office environment is a dynamic open space with a variety of touchdown areas and meeting spaces. We added an open star to the space to access the new mezzanine. The stair incorporated industrial elements with exposed steel structure, cable infill and wood handrail.
Design & Construction Facts
The original building was designed with the future mezzanine expansion in mind. We were able to build out the new floor area with minimal disruption to the existing space. We incorporated a half wall at the mezzanine perimeter to allow the existing clerestory lighting to reach the first floor. This also offers a visual connection between the floors.
